Senior Housing Project
The George St Senior Housing project is a two story, 12-unit development in Marlborough.

All units are single bedroom around 60m2 and planned with passive house design considerations, including full insulation, double-glazing, along with walk-in showers and non-slip flooring in the bathroom/laundry areas. Each unit has individual outside space, with a clothesline, with the upstairs units having a small deck. There is provision for mobility scooter access, parking and charging for all downstairs units. The complex includes carparking for up to 5 vehicles.
A whole of life design was required, using common or simple building materials and low maintenance for 20 years.
APL provided full project management service and facilitated the procurement process with recommendations to the client, Marlborough District Council.
